Busy Boy

I've been busy with many things like holding my bottle, rolling over, playtime and eating solid foods. I love bananas and carrots! I even got to hang out with daddy in his office! I make many funny noises, faces and love to laugh(more like squeal).

First Foods

Mommy thought I would be ready to try some baby food since I'm four months old now. I already eat rice cereal in my formula to help my acid reflux. The thicker the food the easier it is to keep down so the doctor suggested solids. I wasn't so sure about rice cereal on a spoon even though it was mixed with formula. I didn't really know what to do with the apples.

Sittin' Tall

I sat in my Bumbo today for the first time. A Bumbo is a little seat that helps me learn how to support myself for sitting. I also got to sit in my highchair today for the first time. I like being at the dinner table with Mommy and Daddy.

Rock-a-by Jakob

I'm exploring new things everyday. Everything goes in my mouth. I have lots of toys that shake and make noise. I have two very special toys, Buster the dog and Tigger. Mommy is always playing with this bug(we don't know what else to call it). She gets it out and sings songs with it or tries to get me to laugh(most of the time it works). She put the bug toy in my swing while Buster was in the washing machine. I kept looking at it, wondering what it did. I petted it and found out that it was soft and the wings make crunching sounds. And then, of course, I thought I would see what it tasted like! Nothing! Then I got Buster back and fell asleep!

A Word From Mommy

As my little guy turns 4 months today, I'm in awe of how fast it goes. It doesn't seem long ago I was being rushed to the hospital to give birth. I remember driving out of the hospital parking lot saying, "what do we do now?". We had anticipated this for so long that it didn't seem real. We arrived at the hospital as a couple and we left as a family! The last 4 months have flown by and I enjoy every minute I have with Jakob. He is starting to prefer Mommy over Daddy when he's hungry or tired. He's definately aware of his surroundings. It gets harder and harder to leave him at this stage because I'm afraid I'll miss something! Chris will call me when I'm at the store or yell from the other room, "Did you know he could do this?", or "You should see what our son did!". Most of the time he gets the answer of "Yes, I know. He did that yesterday". Poor Chris. We celebrate even the little moments in Jakob's life. We feel so blessed to finally have a child. There is no greater reward than being a mom! I love you, Jakob Ryan and you hold a special place in my heart always!

Four Months Old

Today, I am four months old! I love to laugh and play with toys. I carry on many "conversations" with myself, Mommy and Daddy. Everywhere I sit I pull myself up to sit independently. I even try to sit up straight in the carseat carrier(this scares mommy)! I know how to roll over but I don't do it all the time. I love to wiggle and try to roll over when my diaper is being changed. My lastest thing to do is watch Baby Einstein Videos. The Otter makes me laugh. I'm at the stage where everything goes in my mouth. Hands, toys and toes! Later, I will try baby food for the first time! Mmmmm...sounds good!

Some down time

I love to be in my swing. It helps me go to sleep. Mommy was trying to get me to take nap but I was having more fun playing with Buster. Mommy couldn't resist taking pictures. She remembers when I looked really small in my swing and now I look too big!

Pool side

The Fresno heat is finally here! It was so hot the other day(110 degrees), Mommy got the pool out for Michelle and I to have some fun. Mommy invited another friend, Isabelle to keep Michelle company. We had fun cooling off.

July 4th

Its my first 4th of July! We were at Glamma's and Grandude's house in Orange County. Over the weekend I got to meet Mommy and Daddy's friends, Rob and Christy and their daughter, Kayla.

Buster and Me

Buster is my blanket dog. I love to play with him and sleep with him. Mommy took these pictures when we were traveling to Orange County. She had to climb in the backseat and entertain me because I was being fussy. Mommy thinks I'm getting a tooth.

July 4th Photo Shoot

Here I am in my 4th of July outfit! Mommy gave me a flag and I was trying to figure out what to do with it. Sit there and look cute, that works for her!
