Mommy's Little Monkey (Daddy's too)

Well, its official! I'm crawling all over the place getting into trouble,or exploring as I like to call it. I don't like to be in one place for too long. I kept crawling to the sliding glass door and "eating" Mommy's flip flops or I'd try to pull on the Christmas tree. I even "chased" a cat! Mommy and daddy bought me a playpen so I could crawl around and play with my toys and they would know I was safe and confined.Mommy likes to say she no longer has a coffee table in the living room but a cage to contain her little monkey.

Grandude and Me

Grandude and I had lots of fun playing together. One of our favorite things to do,besides watch football, was to play with Wally, the dog. Wally would bring me his ball and I'd pick it up and give it back to him. We even played a game of tug-a-war.

Carosel Ride

I got to ride on a Carosel for the first time over the weekend. I wasn't too sure what was going on but I never cried. Mommy loves these pictures of me. They're some of her favorite.

Thanksgiving

I had a great time in Orange County for my first Thanksgiving. I got to meet some of my family that I hadn't seen before. I of course stole the show with my charm. We passed a turkey hat around the table and everyone had to wear it and say what they were thankful for. Many people said me! I liked wearing the turkey hat and it made me laugh to see other people wear it.

We had our pictures taken for our Christmas card. I had fun playing in the leaves and sitting up in the tree. Don't worry, daddy was holding me. I turned 8 months this week and I'm becoming more mobile. I've almost got crawling down.I can get on all fours and even do a push up. I can go backwards but I can't seem to move my arms to go forwards. I can slide off the couch and stand holding on. Grandude taught me this and mommy was so thrilled(ha ha). She was actually pretty amazed. I've been saying "da-da" for about a month and today for the first time I said "ma-ma" with a mouth full of oatmeal. My bottom two teeth have come in and now I'm getting the top two. Life is good and adventurous. I love to explore and play with blocks.

Knott's Berry Farm

Mommy had a girls weekend in Orange County. I got to go with her because Glamma and Grandude were babysitting me. Grandude and Glamma got in free to Knott's Berry Farm because Grandude's a Veteran. They thought it would be fun to take me to Camp Snoopy. I could only go on one ride but it was sure fun. Mommy and Miss Kristen got to go too. They hung out with us for a little while and then did "mommy things". I went home and had a nice long nap.

Box Car

Grandude pulled me all of the Living Room in a recycled box. I had so much fun.

Race for the Cure

Today, Mommy and I walked a mile in the Race for the Cure. We raised $275 in pledges which means we funded two lifesaving mammograms! We exceeded our goal by 100%. We walked in memory of my Great Grandma Marise and in Celebration of my Glamma who beat Breast Cancer. It was a good day!

Mommy found me peeking over my crib, waiting for someone to get me. Won't be long til I can pull myself up.

Tumbling & Exploring

Today I went to a Mommy & Me gymnastics class. I had fun walking on the balance beam;backwards and forwards, doing forward rolls and backward rolls. I enjoyed playing with the parachute, bells and balls. I can't wait to go back.

Pumpkin Patch

Today, I went to the Pumpkin Patch. I wasn't into having my picture taken because I was too busy looking at everything around me. I was fascinated by the pumpkins and the corn stalks. I even got to pretend to drive a tractor. We took a ride on a real steam engine train.
