Bye- Bye

I've learned to wave bye bye. I just did it one day, no one has been working with me. Mommy left one day and I waved to her as she left. I've been doing it ever since.

Good Times

Swing

I love to swing! I like to go to the park at Glamma's house where my mommy would play when she was little. Glamma bought me a swing for Christmas for their patio. I like that swing too. I get a little upset when someone stops pushing me.

Sleep positions

I soothe myself to sleep now by listening to my music, watching my glow worm and watching my rainforest light show. Sometimes after I drink my bottle I play in my crib until I get tired. Sometimes I'm so tired I end up in funny positions.

Naked J-bird

I like to play a game with mommy called, " wiggle worm". The rules are when mommy tries to dress me, I wiggle, wiggle, wiggle. I should probably stop doing this because she always gets out the camera to take naked pictures. She has quite a collection to haunt me with if I ever misbehave. I don't see that happening.

Bath Time

I love my bath time. It's exciting to splash!

So Big!

Glamma taught me "So Big" when I was visiting her over Christmas. I learned this in a week! Now I do it all the time to get attention.

New Years Eve

We celebrated New Year's at Glamma's house. She made a wonderful dinner and then we played games. Earlier that day I got to meet my cousin Benjamin for the first time from my daddy's side.

Horse Play

Glamma and Grandude got me a rocking horse for Christmas. When you press his ears he "neighs" and makes galloping noises.

Christmas

Look at all those presents! Mommy says most of them were for me! I had to open my gifts in shifts because I had so much! I get spoiled when I go to Mommy's parents house. Mommy knew they would make my first Christmas very special and she wanted me to have the experience she had growing up. She wanted me to have lots of things to open and play with. Mommy and Daddy read me a book about the first Christmas when Jesus was born, that's the real meaning of Christmas.

Glamma and Grandude Uncle J.R. Great Grandpa

Daddy's parents came over to visit the day after Christmas. We sure wish they would visit us more. I got cute clothes and books from them for Christmas. My library gets filled pretty fast between two grandma's and mommy. I sure do love books.

My first Christmas

This singing stage is one of my favorite toys. I like to watch myself dance.

I sleep with my leapfrog buddy every night. He helps me go to sleep and he also helps me learn things.

I loved opening all my presents but I would get distracted by the wrapping paper and ribbon.

Christmas Pictures

We took our family Christmas pictures and my 9 month pictures at the same time. I did well considering I had an ear infection and it was nap time. I kept crawling all over the place and trying to get away.

Decking The Halls

We went and picked out our first real Christmas tree for my first Christmas. Mommy dressed me in a Santa hat and made Zoe my reindeer. I don't think Zoe liked to so much.

December Update- From Mommy

It has been a crazy December. Jakob has been battling an ear infection and bronchitis. We were scared for a few days with his breathing but after 5 days on the inhaler the doctor gave Jakob a clean bill of health just in time for Christmas. Somewhere in between all that, Chris and I managed to get the stomach flu, the same night of course.

Jakob has been keeping us very busy. He started to truly crawl, no longer a scoot, last month and has taken off. He is so fast! He pulls himself up on everything and is beginning to take steps holding on to things. He has quite the personality and makes us laugh all the time. Over Christmas Jakob decided to cut all four of his top teeth! I think the bottom side teeth will come in by Feb. He has more teeth than Chris and I ever did at this age. Jakob's first Christmas was awesome and was more than we could've ever imagined. It's hard to believe my little guy is 10 months in a few days and will be turning 1 year old in less than 2 months! Time flies when your having fun! When we have hard days and sleepless nights, I say to myself this to shall pass. When our days are full of laughter and milestones I think this to shall pass; its those days I want to hold onto a little longer.

My little Jakob, try not to be in such a hurry to grow up. You have such a big world a head of you. Let your mommy hold you a little longer. You are such a blessing to my life, your daddy and others. I pray for you every night as you dream. I love you my little monkey.
