Mischievous Monkey

Oh, how Jakob is into everything! He has a drawer in the kitchen that has things in it for him to play with while I cook. Not five minutes after I put everything back, he has it out again. On this day he decided to climb in the drawer. If pictures are worth a 1,000 words then this is saying a lot about my day.

Pirate Party

Jakob's 1st birthday was a Pirate Party. The kids made pirate hats and played Pin the X on the Map. I made his pirate cake. He had lots of fun.

Jakob's Birthday Dinner

We celebrated Jakob's birthday dinner at Red Robin. They sang to him and he had his first ice cream sundae. I think he enjoyed it.

It's hard to believe one year ago today(11:39pm to be exact) I gave birth to this handsome baby boy! He is just as cute and sweet today as he was then. We love you, monkey!

Disneyland

It was my first trip to Disneyland. I had so much fun. We got to see a live show of Playhouse Disney. I recognized the songs and characters. I got to meet Mickey Mouse and other Characters too. I had breakfast at Goofy's Kitchen and ate eggs for the first time.

My Birthday in the O.C.

We had an early birthday celebration with Mommy's family. Glamma and Mommy's birthdays are in March too. We celebrated them together, although I think it became more about me since I was turning one.

My 1st Valentine's Day

Today is Valentine's Day and I got a new toy. It's an alligator that scoots across the floor when you press the bird on the alligator's back. I have a lot of fun chasing the alligator. We went to my gymnastics class and then to mall to have a Valentine's lunch as a family.

11 months old

The countdown to my 1st birthday has begun. Mommy has already begun to plan the famous pirate party. She's even going to attempt to make me a pirate cake. In two weeks we are going to Disneyland to celebrate my birthday and mommy's. I can't wait to meet Mickey Mouse. While we're down there we are going to have cake and celebrate with Mommy's family.

Some new things I'm doing are clapping my hands to music and trying to sing. I say "mama" more these days and "done". I know the sign language sign for all done too. Mommy is teaching me other signs as well. I've been pulling myself up and letting go and just this week I stood from sitting on my knees without holding onto anything. I started my new gymnastics class a few weeks ago. My teacher says I'm really strong. Last week I hung from the bars without anyone holding on to me! I was impressive.

Bye- Bye

I've learned to wave bye bye. I just did it one day, no one has been working with me. Mommy left one day and I waved to her as she left. I've been doing it ever since.

Swing

I love to swing! I like to go to the park at Glamma's house where my mommy would play when she was little. Glamma bought me a swing for Christmas for their patio. I like that swing too. I get a little upset when someone stops pushing me.
