Mommy Moment

Oh, where do I begin?! My little guy, our miracle, turned 6 months on Sept. 12th. Where did the time go? I can't believe in another 6 months he's 1 year! We've graduated from bouncy seats and swings to jumperoos and exersaucers. Jakob is out of his infant carrier and is in the big car seat now. He sits up and he tries to crawl. He eats baby food and sits in a highchair. He laughs constantly and even squeals. He's very vocal and lets us know what he wants. Everyone is in love with him and the volunteers in the nursery at church are always telling me how cute he is and how happy he is. I think back on the day he was born and how in love I was the moment I saw him. He captured my heart, and still does, in a way you only think your soul mate could. It is a special bond a mom and son have and I'm interested to know how much that grows more and more as he gets older. I love walking in his room every morning and being greeted with a toothless grin as Jakob plays peekaboo over the crib rail. I pray over him every night as I rock him to sleep and praise God for this amazing gift. We know God creates life and designs our lives before we are even born but to see it all first hand is an amazing sight. I truly saw God when Jakob was born. As we embark on the journey of the next 6 months I can't wait to see what he does next. We are entering into my favorite time of the year, fall and all the holidays that come along too. My favorite holiday is Christmas and I'm looking forward to sharing the day with Jakob. Oh, my little Jakob, so innocent and small. I pray everyday for you and the plans God has for you. May you follow God always and keep Him close to you. May your life be an example to others and may you be a disciple for Christ. May your feet take you where God leads you, may your hands be used for God's work, may your words speak the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, may your ears hear God's calling, and your eyes always set on Him and be looking for those in need. May your mind always be filled with pure thoughts and be filled with the knowledge of Jesus Christ, that He is the way, the truth and the life(John 14:6). I love you Jakob Ryan, more than you will ever know. Thank you for bringing me so much joy.
